But I will say you treat her with respect and she'll make it worth your wild. And from my experience, that's the same for most of the girls there. As for tipping, that depends on you. She didn't hustle me, but then again, I had already spent a lot on her, so at that point I think for her any amount of tip was just icing. Plus, I don't know what you would be looking for in a dance. I like the bed dances b/c it's more intimate but this is still a classy club so you're not going to get away with stuff you may at other clubs. I go for looks, so that's why I like 4play. As for her cutting the dance short, she said that the guy she cut short had "propositioned" her and just creeped her out. She offered his money back. If that happened or not, I'm not sure, I didn't go up to the guy and ask. Hope that helps. On Nov 15, they're going to have part two, and I wouldn't miss it. I went to the first one figuring it would be a train wreck, and it certainly didn't disappoint. There were seven contestants that I remember, including regular dancers Cynthia (who sang her own music, well), Tiffany (cabaret style, and pretty good), and Penelope (always high energy, and not too shabby a singer). I didn't recognize the others, and at least one -- the biggest smash in the wreck -- was brought in from out of town. Each singer did two songs, and all were fun to watch and, for a switch, to listen to. The big smash was a "dancer" who "sang" some country music, at times on a spring loaded hobby-horse on the stage. It worked on so many levels -- comedy, striptease, intermission, you name it. Kaboom! Although there are always a lot of dancers on a Saturday night, there was a huge turnout for this event because everyone wanted to join in the fun - at least to see who would sing, and I'd expect the same for part two. More than one dancer has said to me that it was the best time they've had at work. One tip for the DJ - I'd put the (wireless) mic. pickup under the stage, and run a cable to the booth. The fuzzy feedback was off-putting. This event was a great idea. Check out part two on Nov 15 - I'm certain that it'll be a good time. Hate to break it to you guys, but you DO realize that most of those "blondes" aren't REAL blondes, right? If you want standardization and some kind of enforced diversity (whatever that means), you've unfortunately picked the wrong industry. The clubs (and girls) are only responding to customer demand. Of course, I wouldn't put it past San Francisco to pass an ordinance requiring a certain mix of dancer "types" at strip clubs, but not LA. Not yet at least! OBTW, blonde is one of only a few English languages nouns with masculine and feminine forms. A blond is a guy. A blonde is a girl, and she's probably working at 4Play! Overall most strip clubs in LA general seem to have mostly dark haired women, so if you do see a club with a large majority of bleach blondes you gotta assume something is going on. The waitresses turned out to be the owner's daughters. Although I would gladly volunteer to do some undercover sleuthing covering the uncovered dancers, my past diurnal and nocturnal missions to this establishment have shown me dancers of all complexions, especially at night. Based on unscientific, unreliable visual observation, I would say that the proportional ethnicity of the dancers roughly corresponds to that of the clientele, not that there's anything wrong with that. Several of the dancers have interestingly diverse heritages, if their verbal autobiographies are accurate---I have not discussed family trees with audience members. Some dancers have told me they were hired only after performing at a Tuesday night amateur strip contest, which I have never seen, so perhaps audience response plays some role in the hiring process. There are few if any asian, black or hispanic women. When you realize that LA is one of the most ethically diverse if not most diverse city in the world, then you have to question the hiring practices of 4play. Isn't the idea of LA being the land of blond women with big breasts a bad cliché. Look around, there are so many beautiful women from a variety of backgrounds and I think most men appreciate that, especially here in LA. Esctacy down behind the orange curtain is much more diversified as far as dancers are concerned when compared to 4play and it is always packed there. Men appreciate the beauty of all women especially in this day and age. Variety is the spice of life as the saying goes. So 4play lets see the delicate beauty of the asian woman, the sultry beauty of the African-American woman and the spicy beauty of the Hispanic woman. This is LA, let's show the world we have the most beautiful variety of women in the world. I know a blonde dancer that didn't last long here. She just didn't like it due to the high competition and didn't make much money. Keep in mind, 4Play has a high standard of dancers. Management won't turn away dancer simply b/c of race. A fine lady is a fine lady. With all the lookers, it's very competitive. I don't think it discrimination, it's more of a competition for customer $$ that is driving the issue. It's also due to geography: It is west LA. I see nothing but beach blondes on the westside. Thus, I would expect that in the club. If you don't believe me, go Thursday. There is a variety of girls that day. Latina, Asian, brunette, blonde, etc. Date: 10/21/2008 4:30pm Name: AdmitOne (13) Subject: Racial Discrimination and disappointing visit Recently checked out this club since i hadn't been in for a while and what i found was a little disconcerting. The decor is nice and classy as was in the past, and the club still lives up to its high standards in ambience. However, I noticed that about 80% of the girls were platinum type bottle blonds which I found was disturbing since I basically like all types of girls. There was not a single black girl in the place, no latinas, and 1 asian. So the mix was basically all white. Quite frankly the platinum blond girls were so bland and did nothing in the exotic arena for me. They all looked alike! i couldn't tell if there was a new girl or not on stage at the end of each song! I asked one of the dancers there why the club didn't recruit a wider variety type of girls. She responded that she felt the club had discriminatory hiring practices. At that point I steemed since much of my professional work involved the protection of civil rights. Though the club is a private entity, it would not be exempt from any Federal or State constitutional prohibitions against discrimination against the disabled, a person's creed, or certainly as here, the beautiful multi-colored (non-white) girls (13th Amendment of the Federal Constitution). That dancer told me that the club would typically tell those unwelcomed type girls that they simply didn't meet the 4Play standard. Well, it's my two sense that if there's evidence of discrimination in hiring practices, which clearly can be seen by the one type of girls hired at 4play since my last visit, then the club should be careful in what their current dancers report to customers about the club's discriminatory hiring practices. I would have dropped more cash if there were more variety beyond the cloned bleached blond look the club currently has. Would not presently recommend this club for the simply reason that every girl you get will look the same.
