I went there today after not stopping by for several months and I did not recognize the place. Framing appears to be complete, but drywall needs to be completed as well as the flooring. They are building several 30 minute private booths available at a price which will beat Flamingo bigtime. That combimed with far more attractive dancers, competitive dance pricing, and no "buy the lady a drink" hustle will put Imperial head and shoulders above Flamingo. Dump Flamingo and take your bussiness over to Imperial for a far better return on investment. Those prices drove away the customers from ever getting them. I was there that night they announced it and the DJ was even confused. I stayed for a little while longer to see if it was just something they were trying. NO ONE got any VIP dances the rest of the time. I went back 1 week later to see if the prices stuck, and they did. I spoke with Bianca and even she said the prices were hurting. I have not seen her since. She was the hottest dirty girl there. I would go back for Zuleme, but I haven't based on principle. When the dances were $10, the dancers got to keep the money for themselves which was a good deal both for dancers and customers. I'm wondering if now the club will take the additional $5 for themselves?? I imagine so. Either way it's an absurd move to make at this time. When they raised the prices of the vip's several months ago it killed the demand for vip's. I don't think I've had a vip since they raised the prices and they certainly haven't been very busy when I've visited the club. So then the $10 lap dances became more popular as customers didn't want to over-pay for a six song vip. The club lost money after the price increase of the vip and will now compound their mistake by raising the price of the couch dances. What business in their right mind would raise prices in this economy? I'll tell you what I'm going to do. Next time I visit I'm going to verify the price increase. If true I might get a couple of dances but not spend a lot of money (just out of principle). I'm then going to collect the phone #'s of the dancers that I like. That way, when they move on to another club (as they certainly will) I'll be able to stay in touch with them. It would also allow the possibility of privates. The greediness and lack of customer appreciation of some of these clubs sickens me. I really don't want to give them any of my hard-earned money. Other clubs which offer good value (as listed in previous posts) are going to get my business. Club owners really think they have us by the short hairs and can gouge customers as they see fit without retaliation of their customers. Flamingo's is going to have to learn the same hard lesson as other clubs which tried the same thing (ITA and DVCOI to name just two). Goodbye for now, Flamingo's. I do have to share a couple of pet-peeves. Does the staff (excluding the dancers) have to be as rude as they are? When I'm ready to spend a couple of hundred bucks or more at a club I feel a bit entitled to be treated well. I don't want to be hassled by the door guy and I don't want to get the cold, disapproving stare if I decide not to buy a dancer-drink. There are plenty of other clubs that are more customer friendly and sometimes I choose not to put up with this club's BS in spite of some good dancers who work there. A couple of other things would include improving the cleanliness and running the a/c once in a while. In warm weather, sometimes the dancers will be sweating quite a bit which does not exactly entice customers to get a dance. The drink push here is so annoying I'm sure many potential customers stay away because of this. I wonder if club management has ever considered how detrimental this policy is to the club's bottom line? Sure, they make some money on the drinks but the militant way the drinks are pushed many customers leave earlier than they would otherwise to avoid it. Another issue is the lack of cleanliness in the club. What a turn-off it is to have not so fresh odors emanating from various areas of the club. If the club wants to attract more well-heeled customers then shampoo the carpets once in a while. Finally the prices of the vip are too high for the area and the economy in general. Most customers now are just getting couch dances. The club doesn't make money off the couch dances. If they want to make more money then make the vip more affordable.
