Some people I was with the other night insisted that we stop at Jumbo's. I tried to talk them out of it but we stumbled in regardless, if you catch my drift.
Yep, same place, and same people drinking there as last time. It's the corner bar with the locals pounding a few brews.
I get why you check this place out once but making a habit of it just seems kind of pathetic really. If I lived around the corner I guess I might go more often but for me, once is more than enough.

One day Satan had a really bad case of dysentery and this place was the end product. Wes Craven called, and he wants his bad acid trip back. I visited this place twice, once in the daytime, once at night, and I shit you not, on both occasions I spotted at least two MALES in stripper costumes, one of them frighteningly obvious. The rest are mostly either wasted looking crackhead prototypes or tattooed carny lookin' chicks. The hotties are way in the minority here. Call me strange but I just don't get turned on looking at men with boob jobs.
I know one of the bouncers there and he told me Mick Jagger once walked in there with his entourage, said "this place stinks" and walked out. I couldn't have said it better myself. Plus the rathole is so infested with Armenian mafiosos, drug dealers, and just plain freaks that it ain't worth the free admission. Neither are the tiny overpriced drinks or man hating lesbo bartenders with scowly faces and goth clown makeup. One bragged to me that she was a practicing witch - uh huh. The lap dance booth is a veal fattening pen that smells like cheese.
My guess is that the bar is a front for, how do we say, "other business activities" as it was near empty both times I went there and is in a crappy part of town. A dancer told me that a guy was shot dead right in front of the place a coupla years ago in a drug related incident - nice.
At night, the biggest thing that turned me off was the clientele - buncha snotty Silverlake posers. The atmosphere felt more like a San Francisco coffee house than a strip club. Is this joint a closet gay bar or something? I swear the guys were looking at each other more than at the guys - I mean the girls - on stage.
So if you like to look at demon-possessed drag queens while sipping your thimble of booze served to you by dikey sideshow freaks with inverted pentagram tattoos, come on down, this is the place for you.

Jumbos is a rock n roll bar, first and foremost, that happens to have chicks dancing between the songs.
The fact that alot of them take pride in their costumes/routine tells ya that they love the music and all that comes with it (good and bad).
Yeah, during the day you get the usual hard-ons and has-beens shilling for a free feel, but nightime is the rightime...
Only strip club I've ever seen girls sitting at the rack (and girls I knew, to boot). How cool is that, mofos? And not bull-dykes either for all you lesbo-phobes.
Guess I'm biased cause I've done record-release parties here (and it was friggin packed to the rafters with the girls dancin to the raunchy rock n roll), as well as normal Saturday nite outs. Plus, I've had a couple of my interns dance here but that's how they got the job to begin with.
All-in-all, one of LA's classic joints!

yeah, I've been going to JCR for like 15 years, and probably shouldn't post anything favarable, like they need more people going there when you can barely ever even get a seat at the bar most nights of the week. The place is small, and they have spruced it up a bit, and put a cool pole in their old lap dance booths. It is everything a strip joint with a full bar should be, namely ...fun. Not an upscale men's club, meant to draw every sober penny our lustful minds can distract our rational brain from parting with (rent be damned), but rather a "let's have a drink with friends, and cheer on some fine performers who really know how to work a crowd". These are not pablum slurping amateurs, who only know how to bend over onstage, and then circle the floor asking each punter "would you like a dance?" These are expressive dancers who will make you know that you saw a performance onstage, and who will only talk with you if you have earned, or rented the status of "being cool". I think even when they were doing lap dances (I'm not sure they do anymore) the girls would only do them if someone was intent on getting one and asked specifically. I personally always like the fact that a girl coming up to you here was not going to ask you for a lap dance... ever, but might joke around with you, and have a drink or two with you. PLEASE DON"T GO HERE, but if you insist, save the seat next to you, for me, so i can finally get one. I'll understand though, if you give it to the cool chick you watched up on stage

I visited JCR for the first time four months ago...and I had an ok time. Dances here are now 20.00 a pop instead of 10.00...but no girls wer trying to hustle them...and none of customers wer requesting or getting one. Evidently...they are not valued that much!

i used to like jumbo's. a friend brought me down there one time and man, they have some cute chicks. my girlfriend even likes to go with me....
so we go again tonight, 12/11, and we're sitting stage side and my gf is watching Lola and talking about her moves and saying that Lola has got some good ones. Oh yeah - Jumbo's is more of a bar for a reason. The girls are an added bonus. That's what give the place character. Every other "strip club" is so cliche it's unbelievable. Jumbo's is the only one I'd actually hang out just to hang out. Anything else and you might as well go hang out at Benitos on Santa Monica in Hollywood at 2am and wait for the Hispanic tranny hookers to pick up on LAPD, that's way more entertaining and it's free.

I seem to be the only one posting here on this club, so it's like my club. But I do visit many others. I guaranteee you I'm not a shill. Yes there is no mileage. But they have improved the quality of the dancers. NINA, is in my opinion a real babe. Offstage she wore and filled out a T-shirt that said, "SLUT", and she played the part on stage and off. Very friendly. My kind of woman. I love naturals.
As to the neighborhood, don't feel sorry for me living in Los Feliz, about 3/4 of a mile north of there. Average price is probably near a $1 mill. My area around $750,000. I don't think Zbone knows the area very well.

Had an hour to kill at 6 P.M. and Jumbos is the only stript club open near Los Feliz N.E opf Hollywood, so I dropped in. Four dancers, a dozen customers, and very friendly bartender The dancer on stage was a bit heavy, though she had great boobs to go with it. Face not great and she kept walloping herself on the butt which I guess some guys like.
Then Kimberly went on stage. She a fabulous looking blonde, great boobs, perfect body and face. She does a real burlesque routine, pulling off socks sexily, costumes. Bought her a drink. Nina, a brunette with a beautiful face and smile danced, and she could lose quite a few pounds in her hips. One other fairly hot blonde. By my third drink the dancers were looking better and better, but I had a dinner date. Every dancer made good money each tiume she danced, which was frequently. Everybody tipped. There's little or no table dancing, but they make good money anyway and the club does great selling all that booze. I don'tmind the sleezy atmosphere at all. I'd rate Kimberly a 9 or 10, but the average wasn't that great

I went during the day and there were only three dancers, but all ranging from pretty hot to smoking. Debbie, a tall, beautiful brunette who used to work at Star Gardens moved here because the management at Star Gardens is turning it into a zoo. She has the most amazing natural boobs and a great personality. The club is really friendly and it is a full bar.

I was turned off by the hustle from a Nude club, & Cheetas is closed for remodeling, so I stopped by and had a fun time. As usual I didn't see any private dances but everyone was tipping pretty well, for the right girl. One dancer - I forgot her name but it's a double name, was one of the hottest I've seen. I'd rather see real boobs bouncing like that even with pasties, than big fakes fully nude. Her blonde hair was done in sort of heavy chords. And she was really friendly. The other dancers weren't great looking or young but friendly. At Jumbos, there's usually one smart girl who looks great, and knows if she goes there she will stand out above the crowd and make good money. I like the funky atmosphere, and so do a fair amount of show business people. It's like partying with these women. The blonde wwith two names is a 10!

Great non- cookie cutter club

Jumbo's is a great little place if you are tired of corporate "gentlemen's clubs" with fake looking cookie cutter dancers. Jumbo's is more like a 1920's german cabaret than a strip club,. Yes the girls wear pasties and g strings but it's kind of refreshing to leave something to the imagination once again. the girls are not all dogs especially on the night shift. Some of them are quite stunning; Lola, queen of the club has the perfect soft voluptuous body, pale skin, ruby red lips and waist length coal blackhair. Skyy a stunning blonde, looks like a young suzanne summers and Mecca a sultry Bettie Paige look a like have some of the best asses for white girlsIhave ever seen! Gypsy, a professional ballet dancer has has a tight lithe body with killer legs and dances amazingly. Ramona, a stunningly gorgeous and graceful black dancer looks like she stepped off a runway in Paris and also has legs to die for. Lotus, a tough rock and roll diva , eats fire and belly dances.
Some of the bar maidsare hot too. :cute bonde Lianne and the gorgeous brunette goddess Michelle who wears sexy corsets that show off her great figure.
the girls don't hustle dances which is refreshing and makesme want to tip them even more, plus many of them put a lot of effort into their routines. I like the music- they have a great juke box with everytthing from the white stripes to billie Holiday and Frank Sinatera dose of Punk Rock- no backstreet boys or Britanny Spears here!
