I've heard good things about Silver Reign. Is this place open during the day? If so, any recommendations on asian or latin day girls with dances that compare to HT or have good mileage? There were about 5 girls hanging out talking, one PL who had walked in before me went straight to the back and disappeared. I was approached by Jersey, a fine sister with a spinner bod and we got to talking about whatever. Eventually we get to the topic at hand and she promises an experience I won't forget, so I figure why not. We head to the back and she is working it in all the right ways. I think I saw a bouncer pop his head in at some point but to be honest I could care less at that point. We spent a good amount of time messing around and after chilling out and having a ridiculously overpriced beverage, I got a few laps from two of her friends whose names elude me. I got hooked up with some passes as I was leaving to watch the phillies manhandle the rays in game 5, so I might be back but I do have some issues with the drink prices and the waitress attitudes. After buying a couple of drinks for the ladies, I was approached as I was leaving to buy another one and I was like, "Um, no." Also, she pretty much demanded a tip after serving the first drink and it's like, at least give me the illusion that I'm agreeing to tip you. So thats the good. The management and prices blow. You have to buy two drinks at like $7 a pop for water! Then the girls have to have customers buy them at least 6 drinks or they have to pay $120- what BS. A drink for a girl is $20- for a water- what a scam. Serious BS! And the bar girls are pushy. Anytime a girl sits next to you they ask if you want to buy them a drink and you feel guilty if you don't. The songs are ridiculously short and the dance prices too much for that little time. I also think their counts are inflated. They charge 10% to use a credit card which is robbery. Basically management works you over too much to make too much money to make this place great. Come for the girls- leave because of management. I get enough conflict in my profession negotiating contracts with prima donnas who think that the sun revolves around them. I go to clubs to relax, not to go back to work negotiating. My nature in matters regarding gentlemen's clubs is that if I felt that I have not gotten a fair deal, I publicize that fact to other potential clients and let them make their own choices. I suppose that it's possible that the dancer was an innocent in all of this and that the DJ was just trying to boost up the revenue, but she was very quick to tell the bartender that no tip was necessary when I was asked what I wanted to add on as a tip to the dancer. At any rate, like I've said in all of my previous posts regarding my reconaissanace of SRWLA, the dances were outstanding. If I could figure out a way to get the dances in another venue and let the dancer keep all of the fee instead of giving the club a cut, I would be happy to do so and take the dancer out for a nice dinner, to boot. She was an outstanding, erotic fantasy. I will keep up the reviews, and encourage you to do the same. Actually, I have found that "mileage" success is a combination of both a modest investment of money and a serious investment of being a well scrubbed, well groomed, pleasantly-scented gentleman who treats dancers with respect and appreciation. Some dancers are trailer trash who can't handle this and there is nothing that you can do about this. Others, though, and I have dated a few, are only in the business because of some unfortunate or unusual personal circumstance and do appreciate the occasional patron who treats them like a lady instead of like an object. So, from my perspective, i.e., from my mansion on Beverly Drive, the best combos of "mileage" and mileage among clubs I'm familiar with, from best to worst: (Heh-heh. On second thought, don't think I'll post that here.) Incidentally, I was talking with your lapper from last week, and she felt bad about your being overcharged. She thought that you had done a few before the VIP and a few after, and assumed that the DJ's total was right. She insists she does not intentionally overcount, and that's been my experience with her. She also told me that you did not object to the count. . . . ??? Um, yes, the club staff should be able to get the count right without correction from the customer. But when they get it wrong, it won't do you any harm and might help you out if you speak up. Sorry you won't be returning, but do keep up your reports from other locales. Especially if you return to BE and get "mileage." I'll vicariously thank you. Because, judging from your VIP purchases at Silver Reign and the Jet, you're rolling in the majors and I'm just Class AA at best, so you're going to get better "mileage" for your mileage than I will, anywhere. I have to admit that I haven't been to BE for some months, but I was able to achieve considerable "mileage" there. Things may have changed, I have heard that NFZ may now be in effect at BE, but have not verified personally. My "mileage" in VIP at SRVN was better than BE, but then, you have to go over the Sepulveda Pass to Van Nuys, which is discouraging if there is traffic. Jet Strip is the best combination of "mileage" and mileage for me. I have been very successful there, particularly in Exec VIP, which is admitedly pricey. I chose the entertainer carefully, though, and always leave with a smile. I am considering trying Rio, which is reasonably close to LAX if you take the 105. Have you been there, if so, any advice? I'm not sure what you mean by "mileage" vis-a-vis mileage according to your standards. With the quotes around it, it could mean anything, and would have to, for BE to rank second outside COI. Too bad, though, because the dances that I did get were very, very good. So far, outside of COI, which is quite a trek for me (sorry, Shatner!), I would say that the best "mileage" vs mileage from my perspective is available at Jet Strip, Bare Elegance and SRVN, roughly in that order. As always, YMMV. If you throw in the desire to eat dinner at a club after workd, then Jet Strip is the best. Hell, I have done 10 dances at some clubs and spent $400, which later i thought was crazy. I got a date next week with a dancer, 3 hours $300, which i find much more reasonable. I did two regular dances before the rope was closed (I was paying attention, despite considerable distraction), and then did what I believed to be a 15 VIP before which the dancer asked the DJ to let her know when the last dance was. The DJ audibly did so. When I got to the bar to settle up, the dancer, after "consultation" with the DJ, initially priced the session at 24 dances. That having been said, the dances were fantastic, but that may have just been a function of me getting along with that particular dancer and her preferred style. With an AmEx capability and straight shooting on the bill calculation, I could easily become a regular here. It's a good location for me, I like the layout and, at the end of the day, my VIP experience, except for the financial part of it, was outstanding. Your mileage peg may be about right for the VIP, but outside, a guy just walking in with a few bills to spend will be lucky to find HM, let alone V. Which is not to say the dances aren't often good, it's just to keep the expectations of anybody reading this in line with the situation in the club. Most girls will play the dance count straight, but there are a few who will, uh, enhance the tally, sometimes after "checking with the DJ" or floater to make sure she's got the count "right." I'm a little confused, though: I thought the VIPs were timed to a half-hour. But they're X number of dances? I mean, if you had your choice, you'd take the time, right, because who knows how long a dance will be? My impressions: The Good Small place, pretty good location in WLA and fairly nice decor, but also very small. There were only five dancers or so, and the dancers outnumbered the clients at the time. The dancer I spent some time with, Michelle, was very, very erotic, asking what I liked, telling me what she liked, and then getting to business. An Academy Award fantasy performance, to be sure. The club struck me as VHM, with a UHM possiblity with the right dancer in VIP. The Bad Doesn't take American Express, my card of choice. What upscale establishment in LA won't accept a Platinum card? There is a small sign out front stating this, but for those of you who haven't tried the club yet, forewarned is forearmed. There is a distinctive hustle attitude, as well. One particular aspect of this club that I don't like is a tendancy toward dance inflation. When quoted a firm fixed price for a specific number of dances in VIP and having the dancer tell the DJ "let me know when the last dance is over," I don't expect the number of dances, at $40 a pop, to be inflated by 40% (including the two that I did before the VIP rope was closed, yes, dear, I was counting). Because of these two factors, I won't be returning. Sorry, Michelle. I thought that you were a superb fantasy, and with an AmEx capability and straight shooting on the number of dances, I could be a generous regular customer as I get down to LA quite often. If you want to be thrifty, you can save yourself $10 at the door in the evening ($5 days) if you present the coupon you can print out at http://www.silverreign.net. Also, be aware that some dancer drinks run $20 or more (standard sodas, water are $10). Date: 8/15/2008 9:14pm Name: qbg (2837) Subject: Silver Reign compared with Ecstasy My comparison is based on several visits to Ecstasy a few years ago and quite a lot more to Silver Reign. If you like the looks of the Ecstasy dancers, as I suspect most guys would, you'll probably be disappointed in the girls at Silver Reign, as at most other places. I'd rate SRWLA about average for dancer looks. Top clubs on the west side for looks are 4Play and Bare Elegance. Neither has mileage to speak of, though you can get a decent dance at BE. Mileage at Silver Reign and Ecstasy is, as far as I could tell from my visits to Ecstasy, roughly comparable, both in average and variance. Well, you might do better at the low end at SR, I think, if you stick to the nude area. I can't tell you much about tipping, because I'm a lousy tipper. You can get a good dance for a modest tip.
