With all the clubs closing during the day time due to the economy the SRLA is one of last places to get a good lap dance during the day.
I have had only good experiences at SRLA. There are a variety of girls as far as looks, build, personality and talent. You never have to wait to long for a 2 for 1 special and I recommend hanging on until those are offered.
The actual dances can get pretty hot if you are clear with the girls.
The only negative of this club is a chick named Erica. She yaps way too much and is about a 3 in looks. She was even talking to one of the dancers on the stage once!

Within a few minutes I was approached by a v. nice black girl. We chatted for a bit and then went off for a dance. Nice bit of contact and very enjoyable. There's no touching with the topless dances, which are $20, only with the nude dances($40)so I tend to go for the nude option, even though I couldn't care less about below the waist. Sometimes it's just nice to touch. The next dance was with a canadian girl who had the most amazing full D cup. As I've sometimes seen though, with the best lookers, many of them aren't as friendly and she didn't give as good a dance as the previous girl, despite having a better figure. Within a few minutes I was approached by a v. nice black girl. We chatted for a bit and then went off for a dance. Nice bit of contact and very enjoyable. As I've sometimes seen though, with the best lookers, many of them aren't as friendly and she didn't give as good a dance as the previous girl, despite having a better figure. When we were sitting talking, the waitress kept coming over asking if I wanted to buy the girl a drink, but I politely declined as I wanted to spend money on dances rather than drinks. The next dance was with the largest girl, a DD'er and wow! She was very chatty and we went to the vip, but while v. nice, it was basically the same as a regular nude dance so I wouldn't bother with it again, but I guess it depends on the girl. All the girls were attractive enough, a few 8's and I like how they come over and offer a dance, so there is a constant stream of girls heading over in your direction, punctuated by a few minutes. There was one indian looking la girl who has a really lousy attitude + scammed me out of a dance + gave a complete air dance, so I'd stay away from her in future, but overall a great place and I'll return when next in LA. It's twice the price for a contact dance, compared to NY, so expensive in that regard, and thus rating not as high as it might otherwise be. I've only experienced a few la clubs, but so far, this is my goto spot. EnjoyI visited here in the afternoon during a trip to LA. It's definitely a more upscale place than a few others I've been to. There's a main stage with chairs surrounding and more comfy area's to sit behind the chairs. Lighting is nice and low and the place is clean. I had the opportunity to visit this club on a business trip to Los Angeles. I have to say that overall I was disappointed, though perhaps my expectations were too high - but the Spearmint Rhino clubs in the UK (I'm from England) and in Australia are significantly better than this one was. I felt that the experience was only mediocre.
But I will start with the positives:
PROS:
- club is very well appointed and clean, and looks very upscale and stylish (like most SR clubs)
- the toilets were clean (very important to me)
- the dancers are all pretty hot (7-8s) both in terms of body and face
- the attitude was generally positive, there was not much pressure to buy dances
- staff was attentive and professional
- lapdance prices were reasonable ($20 topless, $40 nude)
CONS:
- club was too bloody dark, including the stage. Even sitting on the tipping rail it was dark
- lapdance area was virtually pitch black. The dancer I was with was in front of me and I couldn't even make out her nipples or her bellybutton, it was that dark! If the lapdances were higher contact then this is less an issue, but as they're air dances (see below) it makes it pointless as you have no visual or tactile enjoyment
- bouncer would look in every 30 seconds and shine a flashlight on us to see what we were doing
- the lapdances were really air dances with very minimal, very light contact. The girl I got was fairly easygoing but there wasn't much we could do
- no alcohol. California is the first place I've been to (not that I've been to much, just Massachusetts, RI, London and Australia) where you can't have a beer in a nude club. I ended up ordering about 5 Red Bulls and they were expensive
- when you get a dance the waitress pushes you to buy a drink for your girl. For my first dance I said yes and ended up paying $10 for a bloody Sprite for her! For the second one I told her that rather than buying her a drink, I'd prefer to give her the money as a tip instead as that was bollocks
- lots of tightfisted patrons. I felt like I was the only one tipping (even though I wasn't sitting at the rail, I was close enough that I felt the dancers were dancing for me (even though I could barely see them due to the lighting, but that wasn't their fault). I don't mind tipping if someone's performing a service, and some of the floor work was quite good, but most punters seemed to be happy to sit just a bit away from the tipping rail so as not to have to tip, but close enough to get a decent (if dim) view for most of the night.
Overall I was disappointed. I had heard a lot about California clubs and coming from Massachusetts which everyone wrote off, I was expecting much more than what I found so far (I've also been to the Bare Elegance and will write a review about that, but it was largely the same). Even the Foxy Lady in Brockton is miles better than Spearmint Rhino LA - at least it's a lot brighter, there are a lot more dancers, they're just as pretty

I visited this club a few weeks ago and a dancer said they only make $3 for every $20 dance as the club keeps the rest. The math on that means they'd have to do 17-34 dances to make $100 (more if there's 2-for-1 specials). Which means at least 3 dances per hour to make minimum wage. I hope they get medical coverage or some other benefits.
Another thing, as I entered there were ads for $5 dance specials. You can bet I was excited about that, but no such special was offered. Maybe they're only before 12am when I showed up.

I have had many good memories here at this club. I had a free pass for their 10-year VIP anniversary party last Thursday night & the club WAS PACKED!!!! I bet most also had the same free VIP passes to get in as well. It was standing room only for most of the time I was in there.

Most of the feature shows for the most part are boring that I could do without them, But hey if you have a favorite Porn Star that you really want to see & meet well then by all means just go.
Usually most of the spearmint rhino clubs have a XXX-feature every couple of weeks on Thursday,Friday,Saturday nights.
Showtimes varies depending if its slow they usually start their first showtime much later.
Most of the time showtimes are around 10pm,12am, 1am. They do about 4 songs all uncut which would be the best time to buy a lap dance from one of the regular dancers. By the last song(4th song) some of these porn hoes start passing out free posters and a few dvd's usually to the the guys who make the most noise to show their appreciation. Polaroids picture opportunities follow right after the shows and that goes around $20 bucks but haven't taken for years so don't know how much they charge, Although I heard Tera Patrick charges $30 bucks for one from a poster posted on this board(YIKES).
Some of my favorite entertainers would be Tera Wiegel(shes probably the most entertaining), Nina Mercedez, Alexis Amore, Lovette(I think she's retired), Jenteal(retired several years ago), Lisa Lipps,Chelsea Charms.

It's $350 half hour vip service here. Over at SR-Industry it's $500 half hour. The Deja vu clubs are $150 half hour and I wouldn't expect full service at any of the deja vu clubs more like high mileage to very high mileage.
If you want the full works well then go to HT aka hawaii-Theatre. It's 3 songs for $120 plus how much of a large tip a dancer wants you to give her for her full services. Not everyone gives this treatment keep that in mind so you got to talked to them even try a dance or two in the single room area to see if you're feeling good vibes from her.
I'm not sure about SR-Downtown, But you can't go wrong with Daylene, Joy over at SR-Industry.

I would never drop that kind of money for any girl I hadn't already built a "relationship" with. It's too much of a gamble of time and money for me. I see it as a kind of research. It takes time and money, but the results are worth it. I think the VIPs (or even plain laps) are better when there's a familiarity and a comfort level already established.
If a girl knows you will respect her boundaries, she won't spend the dance worrying about what you might do next. She'll be more relaxed and concentrate more on enjoying and giving enjoyment. This effect varies from girl to girl, but for whatever reason I gravitate towards the girls who respond to a "getting to know you" period. I guess I get bored with the girls whose dances don't evolve as time goes on. I like to feel like the dances get "customized" for me. Not really talking about mileage, but sort of like a pair of old jeans that just feel right.
Hmmm, the Lapito has gone sentimental for some reason. Treat the girls well, boys. It's worth it.

Thanks for the info and advice. Strangely enough, all the times I've been to SRLA, I've never had a dance on the left hand side (as you enter the club); the dancers have always taken me somewhere on the right-hand side. Usually PLs tend to sit on the right-hand side, and you have to walk a bit to get to the back left-hand corner where the VIPs take place, so there seems to be a bit of built-in privacy there.
As for the floater, when I was there a few days ago, a PL got either multiple dances or a VIP which lasted about 30 minutes. I think the floater only peeked in at the start of the dance, since I didn't see anyone go back towards that area again until he came out.
$350 (or $300?) is a lot to roll the dice on for mileage, so I'll take the advice and try a regular dance or two first so I can make a more "informed" decision. If either of you have had any good VIP experiences with a particular dayshift dancer (or just good regular dance experiences), I'm all ears! Thanks again.

LEC is right, they are in the U shaped booths located to the left of the room as you walk in, and when those booths are full then the rooms on the right, closest to the entrance are used. I hear they're pretty high mileage, given today's economy, money do talk. I've a couple vips in the past, with christy and tessa..both great, nothing crazy just grinding and a lot of GFE..definitely worth the $$, if chosen correctly. The VIP's are done on one of the "side" booths. I think there's only a couple. U-shaped bench with a nominal curtain separating you from the main floor. They're right off the main floor, so it's not the "tucked away in the back" like most VIP rooms normally are. They were definitely added as an after-thought. Repurposed VIP seating is really what it is. The curtain is certainly not thick, your only privacy is that it's darker in the VIP than in the club, and the bouncers can poke their head in at any time as they walk by.

What they should be doing is taking some pointers from SRCOI as they have become more PL friendly and done so on a more consistent basis. I think that song lengths have even gotten a bit longer and I have also noticed that they offer specials quite often throughout the night. I always thought that SRLA had a more diverse group of ladies, but not recently.
I live in the middle of both SR's, but the main reason I drop by here is because I have a ton of free passes.
