Good: Monday night $30 dances bring out a surprisingly good cadre of strippers that have got it going on. Notable: the ever sexy Ivy, Amanda (returning to SRO and looking even better than ever, in my opinion), and Carmen. Carmen is slender and a really nice looking lady with a good personality and a lot of brains.
The downside: The girls keep on citing the $40 per dance charge rate even as the DJ is announcing the $30 rate. I like to give a decent tip for good dances but feel like this is a slight coercion on the part of the ladies in addition to the drink buy scam and pay based on the $30 rate plus a tip.
Scarlett is a petite and very cute Latina that I did not try a dance with. Any 411 on experiences with her would be appreciated. Oh, and if anyone knows where Trisha the Massachusetts brunette hot girl went to I am interested in that too. To the previous poster, I think that Boston works a lot on daytime weekends.

Hello darlings, I am Lovette Suicide. I dance at the SRO. I'm the tall dancer white girl with all of the tattoos. I am a SuicideGirl (suicidegirls.com) I do pin up modeling. I am also told I give great stage and lap but I feel like I'm still just getting the hang of it. Anywho I heard there was lots of zbone drama about a couple of girls and I will say this about that....
Cinn is a sweetheart. She does great stage and is good at what she does. I've done a couple of double dances with her and let me tell you it was hot! Me and Cinn are like polar opposites and we had that guy melting on the couch. She's a pleasure to work with and I can't say that I've ever seen her do or say anything un-lady-like.
Amber Lynn on the other hand.....We have a nickname for her at the club and that would be "Amber Rotten Crotch". That name sticks to that girl like glue for a reason. She is one of the diriest, craziest, most vullgar feamles I've ever encountered in my whole little dancing career. She would go around talking shit to the customers about the other girls to try and get herself more dances. I never understood why she didnt just stand out on a corner instead of pulling tricks in the club. Men beware of Miss Amber Rotten Crotch you don't know where she's been. And I am ever so happy to say that she no longer dances at the Rhino in Oxnard. Thank GOD!

I have been to SRO four times in past three months...
A Saturday night around 10:00pm. There was a porno star appearing on stage and the place was super crowded, but there were only five girls working. It was too hot inside and outside. Did not like the experience or the people.
A Thursday night around 9:00 pm. A moderate sized crowd and ten girls working. No two for ones called out. BTW, the crowd was mixed between Mexicans, out of town business men and older white guys,
Saturday Afternoon 2:30 pm: Small crowd, five girls working, no buy the lady a drink hustle.
Wednesday Night 08:00pm: Larger crowd than I expected and by 8:30 there were at least 12 girls there. Several two for one specials -- some with very short seeming songs.
Girls I got laps from and liked the experience:
Rebecca, Ivy, Princess, Alley
Girls I thought were nice looking but didn't get a great lap from for whatever reason:
Dallas, Layla, Presley, Diana.
Still waiting to try some of the other girls.

thanks for your post, man. it’s been a while since i’ve had an excuse to get out to Oxnard so i was glad somebody was willing to throw an honest review up there. with so many other club choices east of Oxnard it’s nice to have a little more than just high hopes and my imagination to help me decide whether or not it’ll be worth it to make the trip.
you mentioned that “There was only 5 guys in the audience” when you were there. it looks to me like they all hit up Best Buy for the Labor Day Sale and bought new WiFi MacBooks, cause outta nowhere they’re posting like crazy! the thing is, i know i said i haven’t been to the club in a while, but man, unless the customers in that place are being bussed in from West L.A. or something, the other posters don’t sound a bit like the homies i remember seeing in there. for starters, it was a crowd of very few words (unless you count espanol). their team colors were black and silver (not blue and gold), i never saw one of them sporting flip flops or a Hawaiian shirt, and i could swear it’d be a Cuervo Gold or a Corona in their hand before any kind of cocktail. gimme a break! what self-respecting gangster would be caught dead sippin on a mixed drink…

I know Cinnamon doesn't act like that. I also know other girls that work there come on here and talk shit. Cin is the most popular girl there and other girls get jealous. First time at a strip club for me - interesting expirience!
There was only 5 guys in the audience when I was there so it was clear there would be plenty of girls to go around. After watching a couple of very cute ladies doing their thing on the main stage, I was approached by a girl named "Amber Lynn" (not the porn star) for more personnal attention. Very pretty / sexy little lady - short with small boobs but still very very alluring - pleasant attitude. After she performed 1 lap dance for me, she suggested the VIP area for a better expirience. Nieve as I was, I agreed - BIG MISTAKE. Although the girl might have worked a bit harder there, it was not worth double the cost per song. The worst part was that I couldnt tell when 1 "set" stopped an another began and, of course, she wasn't going to let on either! Before I knew it, I had spent way more than I ever planned to - so, anyone new to this entertainment - BEWARE. But the good thing about Amber Lynn is that she was full contact - I could touch / feel her anyware as long as I was gentle - that part was a very pleasant expirience. Lessons learned: 1) Don't do VIP 2) Wait until you see all the girls before letting 1 get to you.

I happened to be in Onxnard on Saturday afternoon. Thought I would check out the SRO. I was way dissappointed. Layout was nice. Chairs were comfortable. But they had one of those stages that were set down 2 feet below the rail. So unless you were on the rail you could only see waste up.
The girls had nice personalities. But only one would make the stage at SRVN. They had fat chicks, flat chicks, old chicks. Five girls were in. I've seen the black chick at SRVN a couple times months ago. She was the best they had at a 7. All others 6 and below.
Now I know how spoiled we are in the San Fernando Valley. We have our choice of great clubs with great chicks.

This was one of the wackest clubs I've been to. It's almost the size of a large apartment in L.A. Now the dancers were cute but none of them really had nice bodies. Either good faces with bad stomachs, Good stomachs with fake boobs, etc... I got a lap dance then left right after...she barely touched at all. I'd never waste my time by going here again.

Not much happening on this review board lately, so I thought that I would jot down some observations, opinions, and comments regarding this club as of November 2006:
The place itself is located in an industrial area of East Oxnard. No problems with the location, I think there may have been some vehicle break -ins in the distant past but nothing rampant.
The club interior was remodeled in about 2000, and the VIP room maybe three years ago. the carpet and upholstery could use an upgrade and the vip room chairs are worn as well.
Aesthetically, the place is okay, except for the often stated complaint about dim stage lighting. I like the big maroon couch and rhino head and all those pictures of 1990's strippers.
The buy drinks, short songs and promotional material pushes are on the high side of my strip club experiences in USA.
The staff that works day to day is mostly stable and generally have been very polite to me over the years. Management comes and goes with the frequency of the 1970's New York Yankee staff and that effects the most important aspect of the club experience: the dancers.
Any given manager will have an approach that alienates some or all of the dancers, resulting in high turnover. Good, if you like to see new, not so good if some of your favorites go away. Naturally, there are other reasons dancers leave, but management style is right up there.
Dancers I miss: Jenna, Dylan, Kendal
Dancers I had good recent experience with: Trisha, Diana, Ivy, Rose, Lacey, who BTW to the previous poster is of Asian descent.

The last time I came here on a Saturday I was told that the girls would be two hours late.
Couldn't stay, but I remember that the last couple of vists were good because of that one special girl out of the rest.
If you find this one special girl, then enjoy as much as you can because the club has a habit of getting rid of the girls that I like, maybe there's a link?
Interesting thing to note, when I go here for the feature performers, I see a lot of married couples there as well. See Teri Weigel get down and dirty with a couple brought the house down.
To answer the previous post, I have never seen an asian dancer here. A lot of latina dancers. I think there will be more asian dancers eventually because the housing is going up like crazy.

I weas born and raised in Oxnard. It is a fast growing and diverse place. What this means on a pragmatic sense is that you can walk along beachfront homes worth $5M a piece, then drive over near the SRO and find fifteen recently arrived immigrants packed into a hovel, and everything in between. It is a city with a lot of different racial enclaves, meaning there are gangs, disfunction, crime and hate, but also great ethnic restaurants and a sense of community.
In short, it is a contradictory place. Compared to Camarillo, and Ventura, Oxnard is a hard as nails mean place. Compared to the bad parts of LA and other big cities, its nice. You can get your ass kicked, score cheap drugs and get your ipod stolen, or think that it is paradise on earth.
