R.I.P.  I wish I had a quarter for every 25 cent hot dog that I bought at this place.

As of when? Just for the holidays or permanently?

Permanently... Stra Dog posted a newspaper article on it in the Media section of the Forum yesterday. I had a lot of fun in the club in the olden days. Today was the last day.

Oh tonight is the last night? Damn. I wish I knew earlier so I could have gone down there before they shut down.

The entire property, plus the hotels I think all the way down to the liquore store was sold to a land developer. The Franks grand kids didn't want to manage a strip club, so everything was sold! I think around 80-100 acres of land! Dec. 24th was Adios Wild Goose!

I was there on Saturday afternoon to say goodbye to the place. It was very depressing, and disturbing to watch a few of the dancers have melt-down's.....and many were crying. When I was leaving (close to the closing time), I spotted a table full of old women, one in a wheelchair, sitting in front of the DJ booth. I was told that they were relatives of Larry's.
A fitting visual for a quirky little neighborhood dive that will live in our memories forever.

I hung out there a lot years and year ago. From 73 or so until 81 The last time I was there was about 2005. It was a weekday afternoon. When I walked in there was an older girl on stage standing on her head. catching dollar bills in her crotch. Yes, guys were pitching them in and she was catching them
After a long hard look, I recognized the girl. He name was Peggy. A hippy dippy girl, who worked there from 77 or so until who knows when, maybe the last day for all I know.
This very pretty, popular ,athletic and fit dancer was now resigned to be a novelty act .. I felt awful watching it and just headed back home.
Pitiful. .....I did manage to grab me a hot dog before I left.

Quirky is right. I used to love to grab lunch there when I was in the area. Candace was a favorite, over 60, once did an ad in Playboy (like in the 1960's) but till had a great rack.

The girl who passed around her own birthday card and asked people to sign it and leave a gift (it worked, I left her a $5).

The girl who would talk to you but be looking over your head to make sure someone with more cash wasn't walking through the door.

The girl who wouldn't stop lapping then charged you for the quarter song she started on and the again for the two notes of the song you told her to stop on.

And mixed in were a large group of nice and beautiful girls. I'm sorry to see it go.

And don't forget the guy in the bathroom handing you paper towels and selling condoms and breath mints to keep you ready.
