I think that 2012 is going to be a big year for ten dollar dances, two for one lap offers, special value days and happy hour specials. I think that for many of those that have been visiting the clubs, the thrill is gone.

The format hasnt changed in fifteen years. There is only so much that is going to be done in a lap booth, the VIP rooms are generally a scam and the girls are getting to be more and more generic looking.

I also think that 2012 will be a good year for those adventurous PLs and dancers who want to connect OTC.

This probably wont hurt the clubs too much as they can just keep adding girls and lap space  while they make less per dance. But for a lot of the dancers, especially attractive ones, who have limits on what they want to do. This  job may get to be a grind, at 6.00 per song.

Very interesting and bold predictions. In the last few years, the opposite has happened as clubs that used to charge less are now charging $20. Will 2012 be the turning point? Has lap prices maxed out?

At one time, the lap dances at the Wild Goose were $5. If I'm not mistaken, before they closed, the price was $20. Will those $5 days return? I'm not sure.

Prices at the Jet and the Bare have gone up by virtue of instituting nude laps for an extra $10. But both of those clubs and SRI have sought ways to cut prices on their VIP rooms: SRI offers 30% off on Tuesdays, the Jet instituted a similar, but all-hours, discount a few months ago that it has not terminated yet, and the Bare is diversifying its "skybox" duration and price menu (and capacity).

Benn, I'm not sure what your point is about not hurting the clubs. They can add girls but standards drop (as at the Jet, and, I'm told, at Rio, where they were already low). They can add as many girls as they want and revenue is not going to go up if they can't get dance-buying PLs in the door.

As for OTC, I think girls that have wanted to be there have done that. Natch, there'll always be a new crop, but I don't foresee a noticeable increase in quality girls going OTC.

I think 2012 is going to be more of the same: A further tick down in girl quality, a further tick up in mileage (at some clubs), dubious prospecting for social lappers like me.

(But then, I do specialize in being wrong.)

Clubs should think like fast food. Lead with a 2 for $20 topless and let the girl keep all of the money. These dances can even be in the open, e.g. alon gthe wall on benches. Then have 2 for $40 Nude or topless in a semi-private cubicle style room. This gives the financially challenged guys a real incentive to hang out at the club more often. The girls keep more money so are happy and can make good change this way.

Then for dances with tipouts to the Club at say 70 dancer 20 club, offer the juicy nudes in the private areas for say $25 each before 10:00 for the early bird business persons special. Then max out the nudes at $30. That is the max price point in my opinion.

Then offer in the full private VIP rooms 15 minutes for $75 That allows time and room for negotiating TITS I mean TIPS with the dancers. And finally 30 minute VIP rooms for $125 every day. That way mileage hounds know it is $200 plus a TIP.

Clubs cannot do any stupid pay at the bar requirements ala Jet. The lap machine e.g. Deja Vu is fine. I really hate the clipboard dudes, so anything like take a token , hang a chit on a tit whtever, but no bar and no clipboard dudes with flashlights.
I also think the girls should get paid minimun wage. That avoids lawsuits and huge legal costs to clubs, I'm telling you Mr. CLub owner, those labor laws will bring you down. The min wage will get girls to show up, so you have a live body on stage all of the time.
While I like the unlimited soda and reasonble speciality drinks at Deja Vu, I'd rather pay $5 per fountain drink and $7.50 to $10 for a can of something special is fine with me. And if parking is not free, e.g. a lot, it cannot exceed $5.00.
That is what I think is a good value for everyone.

More girls, less PL's, less spending by PL's. This is a buyers market, which is good for PL's.
