I went to Ottawa last fall on business and after the conclusion of a successful bit of work, I decided to visit a club. I was staying in downtown Ottawa and there were clubs within walking distance, but I decided to visit the Pigale Club based on good recommendations from the internet and live humans on scene.
The club is in Quebec Province in the city of Gatineau, approximately 15 miles from downtown, across the Ottawa River. Ottawa is a fairly large and cosmopolitan city in Ontario that serves as the National Capitol. Cross the river, and it gets rural in a hurry. The road is good, and the markings are clear, even if they are in French.
Stay on the main road and the club beckons on the right in the commercial district of banks, restaurants and shopping centres. Free parking. Walk up the stairs and into the club, which has a single stage with seating for approximately 15, a full bar, and a buffet. There are approximately 125 seats in the place, and a section with slot machines and video games and an ATM that pezzes out Canadian money.
A sexy woman will come up to you and begin speaking in French. She is asking you what you want to drink. I spoke to her in English and she got a little bit surly, but still came back with the drink nice and pronto. Pay her and she hands you a poker chip.
This being French Canada, the buffet is incredible. Roast Beef, Fish, roasted potatoes. fresh bread and a salad made one of the best meals I had on travel in a long time. I gave the guy manning the buffet my chip and he seemed very happy.
I started staring at dancers from afar. I did not know the tip rail etiquette and customs and experience in other places tells me it is best to watch first, lest you make an LA style move that falls flat. There were about 20 dancers working about half are native French speaking and the other half English, but communication is not a problem. After checking out a variety of dancers ranging from overperfumed skank to way hot, I picked this incredibly sexy black woman from Montreal named Ncole for a VIP dance, which cost $30 per song. Here is an embarrassing tidbit. I do not recall if the VIP dances are topless or nude, but I think they were nude.
The VIP rooms are on a separate lower floor from the main stage. They have hand sanitzer down there and I was asked by her (and all the other dancers) to use some prior to the session. The songs started. Lots of privacy lots of very good mileage, song length about 3.5 to 4 minutes. I tried another dancer who was a sexy petite brunette from a small town near Hamilton, she said. Forgot her name, but not that grind, Wow.
FInally, I tried a thin tall blonde with a largish crucifix tattooed on her chest named Dylan. She told me she was "English" as opposed to "French" and her lap dances were terrific.
I sat down for another beverage and Nicole sat next to me. She, like a lot of the other dancers did not mind sitting down and chatting with you especially if you bought drinks, but there was none of the Spearmint Rhino style pestering in that regard. I bought her a cocktail for less than 2/3 the price of a Rhino soda.
I was offered a lot more service if I wanted, for extra dollars that I did not spend. No matter, it was an extremely fun experience with nice looking ladies, and great food. Other things that I noticed about the club: There are a high fraction of dancers who wear crucifixes dancing on stage and in VIP so be prepared if that is something that creeps or turns you on. They like hockey a lot and many more eyes are glued to TV showing the Senators match as opposed to the dancers. Strong 420 activity noticed in the parking lot, and on the streets of downtown Ottawa. Several dancers told me that the real great strip club scene was in Montreal, approximately 3 hours away.
Visiting Pigale was a good experience for me. Recommend trying it if you are ever in the area.
