I was pleased to hear "Dirty Black Summer" by Danzig over at SRVN a couple of weeks ago. I realize I was probably the only person in the room that knew who did the song but... man, THAT'S stripper music!

There's probably a whole truckload of music that's never played that would at least... change things up a little? The whole "rap" thing with lyrics like, "bitches and ho's suck'in ma DICK!" type thing gets kinda tiring after awhile. Besides Motley Crue's "Girls, Girls, Girls", there's a whole bunch of stuff that could be played - THAT'S NOT RAP!!! Here's 2 from Puscifer - though I admit, it would take a certain type of girl to work out a dance for these. I don't know why I'm posting Puscifer first, it just came to mind. The Rolling Stones - Some Girls album was just remastered, I'm sure that could be cut up, songs like Beast of Burden or Missing You:

    Lyrics :
I was lonelier than Kunta Kinte at a Merle Haggard concert
That night I strolled on into Uncle Limpy's Hump Palace lookin' for love.
    It had been a while.
In fact, three hundred and sixty-five had come and went
since that midnight run haulin' hog to Shakey Town on I-10.
I had picked up this hitchhiker that was sweatin' gallons
through a pair of Daisy Duke cut-offs and one of those Fruit Of The Loom tank-tops.
Well, that night I lost myself to ruby red lips,
milky white skin and baby blue eyes.
    Name was Russell.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
    Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

Well, faster than you can say, "shallow grave",
this pretty little thing come up to me and starts kneadin' my balls
like hard-boiled eggs in a tube sock.
Said her name was Bambi and I said, "Well that's a coincidence darlin',
'cause I was just thinkin' about skinnin' you like a deer."
Well she smiled, had about as much teeth as a Jack-O-Lantern,
and I went on to tell her how I would wear her face like a mask
as I do my little kooky dance.
And then she told me to shush.
I guess she could sense my desperation.
'Course, it's hard to hide a hard-on when you're dressed like Minnie Pearl.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
    Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

So, Bambi's goin' on about how she can make all my fantasies come true.
So I says, "Even this one I have where Jesus Christ
is jackhammering Mickey Mouse in the doo-doo hole
with a lawn dart as Garth Brooks gives birth to something
resembling a cheddar cheese log with almonds on Santa Claus's tummy-tum?"
Well, ten beers, twenty minutes and thirty dollars later
I'm parkin' the beef bus in tuna town if you know what I mean.
Got to nail her back at her trailer.
    Heh. That rhymes.
I have to admit it was even more of a turn-on
when I found out she was doin' me to buy baby formula.

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
    Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

Day or so had passed when I popped the clutch,
gave the tranny a spin and slid on into
The Stinky Pinky Gulp N' Guzzle Big Rig Snooze-A-Stop.
There I was browsin' through the latest issue of "Throb",
when I saw Bambi starin' at me from the back of a milk carton.
    Well, my heart just dropped.
So, I decided to do what any good Christian would.
You can not imagine how difficult it is to hold a half gallon of moo juice
and polish the one-eyed gopher when your doin' seventy-five
    in an eighteen-wheeler.
I never thought missing children could be so sexy.
Did I say that out loud?

Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'
    Well I find it's quite a thrill
When she grinds me against her will
Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'

LOL! Yes, a lap dance is so much better when the stripper is cryin'... I've NEVER heard that one in all the strip joints I've been to...

Also, interesting. I guess that's kind of a glitch in the system. I got a reply to my orig post and responded to it but it's not on here, it's just on my board. I guess I'll post here too, LOL!

See, that's good, that's like doing the Iron Man 2 soundtrack with all AC/DC songs.

    Some rockers:

Black Stone Cherry - Can't You See
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmvjUPTBfFg

Back From Cali - Slash feat. Myles Kennedy
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pAn75GM-fQ&feature=related

and tracking Myles Kennedy back to Alter Bridge you get:

Alter Bridge - Burn it down
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYC7rjnDH2Q

Newer artists like Janelle Monae, Wilco's newest album or even Radiohead's newest could be cut up:

Radiohead Separator (The King Of Limbs Sessions: From The Basement)

A couple more, these girls dance to the same music over and over, throw something different at them maybe you'll get something special every once in awhile:

    Prince - Pussy Control
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym-FRRagAxY

    Modest Mouse - Shit Luck
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUWxQqLgL8s

    Alice Cooper - Clones
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gMQGI9URBbY

You can't do Rape Me by Richard Cheese obviously but there's others.

    Ace Frehley - Rock Soldiers
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMVE1iqFQVQ

I'm just picking these because they are off the beaten path, some totally forgotten:

    Y&T-CONTAGIOUS
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_F_tdmrPV04

You want obscure? How about this?

Hurricane - I'm on to You
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuztuiFgBtU

    It's the 80's again! LOL!

I agree 100% with what has been said. As a strip club dj - we are sometimes stuck. You all know that the dj is working for tips- therefore has to play the music the girls ask for. No bullshit- some girls won't tip unless they are happy with what you play- I love music period. That is why I dj- and yes- many times we HAVE to play it. Sorry fellas- YOU can change the game - tip your dj too once in a while- and ask em to play some of those kick ass songs you all just previously mentioned. Thank you. . . Btw I'm taking notes on all those songs.

Sometimes I wish the clubs would play a variety of music that would include different forms of rock like metal and even classic rock...and occassionally some 80's stuff like depeche mode.

These days the clubs only hip hop and dubstep which can get repeatitive.

one old relic from the 80s...The Electric Boys - All Lips and Hips.
That thing rocks. I guess it never gets played because its old. But then again, so am I haha!

I play a little bit of electric guitar, and I'd like to learn some of these licks as they are quite catchy.

Anything by Tom Petty. I know he's from Florida and the eastern US...but his songs ring true to the heart here in the Valley.

Thank you all- from a dj that's listening - learning - and most importantly- writing this all down and expanding my own library.

It's fun pulling these up. Just some random stuff - off the beaten path, these don't go together or anything, one or the other might fit a "mood" during a set of songs and since these songs would be cut down to about 2 1/2 minutes, you can go right for the jugular and forget about the setup:

    - Lindsey Buckingham - Time Precious Time
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vtkWhnKoai8

    - The Verve- Monte Carlo - Unreleased track on the This Is Music singles album

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZvXL5cqkm8

    - Michael Hedges - Rickover's Dream
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkVW5nxNVw4

    - The Butthole Surfers - Who Was in My Room Last Night?
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MpK7ssP5t74

    - Tame Impala - It Is Not Meant To Be (also: Solitude is Bliss)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUq3oc0lYbw&feature=related

    - The Cars - Up and Down
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_m0_8mr9rk4

    - Alice Cooper - It's Hot Tonight (if you can get a good version)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQr6xTWH5Fo

    - if you DID do Rape Me it should be the Richard Cheese version. - other Cheese classics: SMACK MY BITCH UP and

    SHE HATES ME:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F8myuBr7WQ

    - Coming Soon by Queen... well... it's a good song... don't know if you want to play it though... "cleanup on aisle 3!" LOL!

also, I posted this on my main page but not here but... c'mon... this be STRIPPIN music:

    LEONARD COHEN - DARKNESS
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6q7vCSmUU0

there's so much, like early Faith No More and mid-late 60's Beatles even:

Revolver (REMASTERED) - 14. "Tomorrow Never Knows" by The Beatles
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVd37WBaMIY

that the right girl could make interesting. Hey, if anybody gets use out of even one of these songs I've posted, that's what it's all about, break up the monotony a little...
  • February 17, 2012 10:27 AM PST
This is great stuff. If some of the girls on this board could explore just a little more, there are treasures on this site. Ron I am telling you, the right music can double or triple a dancers stage tips and make her so much more in demand for the couches.
Just ask Iris, or Carmen or Kristie from the V. Good thread.

    - Mark Lanegan (QOTSA) - Bleeding Muddy Water (Blues Funeral)
    - interesting that I can't find an album version on youtube but it's a good song:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV-9xeAEeb4

    - Dandy Warhols - Sleep
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LRMFZECUhDc

    - The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Tempo 116.7 (Reaching Dangerous Levels of Sobriety)

so... are they playing this at the clubs yet or what? It would seem to be perfect for some dancers:

Foxy Shazam - I Like It

    Big magic woman
    Oh you got me
    Under your spell
    You hypnotize
Me with your hips and thighs
    I wear these shades
    So when I stare
    No one can tell

    So c'mon! (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon)
    Show me a little more (c'mon, c'mon, c'mon)

That's the biggest black ass I've ever seen
AND I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT

I swear I knew her under a different name at the Vu and then she became Kassius. https://twitter.com/#!/KassiusXXX

Years ago I remember taking quaaludes, smoking some pot and drinking some Jack Daniels with my girlfriend at the time and laying on the couch while Depeche Mode was playing on MTV... fucking... AWESOME! and I fucking hated them at the time but quaaludes change your sense of time, you can't focus on the beat, so for that brief moment in time, Depeche Mode rocked! LOL!

    - haven't posted any music in awhile. I actually remember hearing Dio in some strip joint a long time ago... probably at the Oddball... it was probably Manuella... LOLOLOLOL! Oh... only a few people will get that but that's ok...

I watched a sexy goth chick at imperial once dance to "she rides" by Danzig. Super freakin hot! Another time at Cali Girls a chick danced to "manish boy" by Muddy Waters. It made me want to bang my head on the rail (in a good way). Cheers to good music and beautiful woman!
