I would have to disagree with SteveTaylor. It isn't always acting. Don't get me wrong, sometimes I do pretend I like some people because I know that if I just deal with them for a VIP I am going to get their money and a nice tip. But then there are those cool people that I actually have hilarious conversations with. I even have a couple people that don't ever spend money on me (maaaaybe an occasional stage tip if I complain about not having made enough that day) and yet I sit and chat for long periods of time if I am having some down/slow time. It's like manual said, just because I have chemistry with someone it doesn't mean we are trying to see each other romantically.

I know someone on this very site who tends to exaggerate his strip club encounters. When I asked why he does so, his response was "Because I don't want to look stupid with everyone else on that site" not word for word but that's the gist of it. How pathetic. Needs approval of people he doesn't even know! Won't out him though because although he's a little pathetic he's actually kinda nice. Lol

Hey Manual (and everyone else reading lol). Maybe I'm not supposed to be giving my Intel on this ( Haha) but I personally think that if you have a dancer (or a few) that you see frequently and have a genuine connection with, it is nice to give a small gift. It might be a pair of new panties (they seriously don't cost much), or a $5 gift card (unless you can afford more!), cash is also always welcome. It doesn't always have to be about money. When I bake for my strip club peeps I put in labor and I don't ask for anything in return. It is to show my appreciation. So a little gift can go a long way with your strippers friends :) with that said, I will be baking something special this week! I'll let ya know when I can get that in :)

I am smart enough to know who those people are and avoid those offers. I have a lot of accomplishments on my slate and I have a lot to offer. Surprisingly, I've even had a girl offer me her services. She was NOT even a lesbian. And she sure did help. She helped me with some resumé updates for my internship, since she happened to be in the field. So please don't underestimate my ability to smell a hypocrite. It offends me.

@manual: I love it when customers ask me why I am in the biz since I seem so smart and intellectual and that I should be doing something big with my life. I love to see their reaction when I tell then I don't seem, I AM smart. And that's exactly why I am in the biz. It's fun AND I am making a lot of dinero. I should be offended by the question that is meant to belittle me but I just can't help but make them look pretty dumb.

Sometimes it becomes annoying having small talk and that is why dancers don't respond. Even when you tell them you are going to come in and spend money. I have a handful of those that ask constantly when I'm going to be in and I have just stopped replying. I do have all my friends txtng me, I have another job, I have an internship, I have a life, AND I dance on top of that. Sometimes we just don't have time to reply to every darn thing you ask. Cut the small talk unless you're planning to date the girl (which, unless you haven't learned from this site, EVERYONE advises against it). Chances are, she's really not too thrilled to spend all day txtng you. But there's always some exceptions. I have a handful I actually enjoy talking to because they are interesting ppl. Maybe you're just TOO interesting and she can't handle all the awesomeness during a dance :)

Well, those girls aren't very smart because we are issued a 1999 form. So once they do file taxes for another form of employment in the future, there going to owe a sh*$ load of money. Lol and hell no I am not picking up the tax. I shouldn't have to pay an extra tax to work.

$10 is effin ridiculous. deja vu would have to get rid of the entertainment fee or people would seriously just not come in. Instead of just skipping on a dance , they would just opt out of coming in completely even if they had planned to spend $50 or more at the club. It would just kill the whole mood of coming in .

Illinois just passed a strip club tax of $3 per customer. Originally, it was supposed to be $5. This tax will bring more money to state government in this time of crisis. Would this enrage customers, or is it a fair law? I think if there's money for tits nd ass , then there's money for the government, which in turn would use the money for schools,prevention programs, etc. I have a feeling this type of tax will soon hit cities like Los Angeles which are highly indebted.
