Sam Speaks Out On "Phantasm 5"
I'm thrilled to announce there is indeed a potential Phantasm sequel in the works! The script has been written, though I'm sorry to say its much rumored contents remain a secret for the time being. Nothing has been confirmed, so I'd rather not speculate on the story line. The original sequel, starring the illustrious Sam Phillips, is widely acclaimed as one of the best in the series. "Don't you think they should bring me back for this one?" she asks bluntly. Quite frankly Sam, I do. What with her own series on Showtime, fifty feature films to her name, a gig as head correspondent for Playboy TV's Sexcetera, and her own hugely successful talk radio show, not to mention her former Penthouse Petness, I highly suggest writers Roger Avery and Don Coscarelli write Sam into the script. She's a valuable asset these days; much more so than she was twelve years ago when she was cast as Alchemy. "Dude, I'd be totally willing to put a wash on my hair and cut bangs in front of my face!" she exclaims. "I'd reprise the role, but how do we hide the fact that the Alchemy of today is far more endowed than the Alchemy of yesteryear?" Hey, it's the year 2000! Even otherworldly villains can get implants.

I should mention, for all the Los Angeles listeners of The Sam & Sheena Show on 97.1 FM, the dishes of late night talk have been moved to a much sweeter time slot. "We're now prime time, Saturdays 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm," she tells me, "with the honor of being the only show on our station that is re-broadcast in its entirety a few hours later, Sunday morning 3:00 am - 5:00 am." They'll be syndicated by mid-2001 at the latest. I guarantee it!
