At KLSX 97.1, pd Jack Silver said "97.1 The
FM Talk Station will be live and local to usher in the new millennium. Sheena
Metal and Sam Phillips will be in for Conway & Steckler from 8 p.m. -
11 p.m. checking in with other cities from around the world. At 11 p.m. it's
a special New Year's Eve edition of Bedtime Stories with Ed Powers." Jack
added, "As you know, all Infinity program directors and general managers
are going to be on site at their stations. We have spent $25 million in Y2K
preparations and will be on the air with regular programming, or emergency
coverage if need arises. Our goal is for this to be the biggest 'non event'
in history."
